BIO
Eric Juberg, 26, is a New York based multi-instrumentalist.
An Indiana native, Eric recently graduated from the Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. While in Bloomington he studied saxophone with Tom Walsh. Outside of school he took up clarinet with acclaimed jazz clarinetist Frank Glover. Eric’s past teachers also include Tom Meyer and Matt Pivec, director of jazz studies at Butler University. At IU he was fortunate to work with Michael Spiro, Wayne Wallace, Brent Wallarab, John Fedchock, Dave Stryker, and David Baker. Eric also had the opportunity to share the stage with IU alum Randy Brecker at the JEN conference as part of IU's top jazz ensemble. He can be heard on "Afro Blue" off of Michael Spiro and Wayne Wallace's Grammy nominated album "Canto America." Eric moved to New York in 2017, where he performs and teaches on both saxophone and clarinet.
In addition to sax and clarinet, Eric enjoys working with wind synthesizers, specifically the Akai Electronic Wind Instrument (EWI). One of his goals is to educate people on wind synthesizers and their compositional / performance uses. Eric spends lots of time creating custom patches and programs to make wind controllers more expressive. Some of his other interests are composing, orchestral music, reading, running, and traveling.
